• Routine Cleanings

  include the removal of plaque and supragingival (above the gum line) calculus (tartar).  Superficial staining can be removed.  Polishing.  Flossing.  Instructions on proper hygiene techniques are discussed.

  are required when subgingival (below the gum line) calculus deposits are detected.  These deposits are often found in association with periodontal (gum) disease.  Early detection and attention to treatment is the best known method of slowing the progression of this lifelong condition.
